Approach: A Multi-Layered Design Strategy for Scalability
User Research & Strategy
To ensure that Statiq addressed real-world pain points, I conducted in-depth user research with EV drivers, fleet operators, and charging station owners. I mapped out user journeys for different stakeholders, identifying key drop-off points in booking flows, charger availability, and payment processing. By analyzing competitors and global EV platforms, I refined the user flow to be more intuitive for both end-users and businesses. This research laid the foundation for a data-driven design strategy that focused on ease of access, transparency, and user retention.

Designing a Unified Multi-Platform Ecosystem
Statiq needed to function across multiple platforms while maintaining a seamless experience. I developed a modular and scalable UI system that ensured consistency across:
The mobile and web app – Designed for EV drivers to locate, book, and pay for charging stations with a streamlined experience.
The CMS and admin dashboard – Created for charging station owners, fleet managers, and white-label partners to manage stations, track usage, and analyze data.
The hardware interface – Integrated with Statiq’s IoT-enabled chargers, providing real-time status updates and remote management capabilities.
Each interface was designed with clarity and efficiency in mind, reducing the number of steps required to complete key actions while ensuring high accessibility.

Hardware & IoT Integration for a Frictionless Charging Experience
A major part of the design was ensuring seamless interaction between software and hardware. I implemented:
Real-time charger status indicators (Available, In Use, Out of Service) to reduce frustration in locating working stations.
Live charging metrics, allowing users to track charging speeds, session duration, and estimated costs directly in the app.
QR-code-based charging initiation, eliminating the need for manual inputs and reducing friction.
This real-time feedback loop improved transparency and trust, significantly boosting user engagement and retention rates.

White-Label Customization & Scalability
Since Statiq needed to be adaptable for enterprises, I designed a flexible UI framework that allowed businesses to rebrand the platform without requiring a full redesign. This included:
Custom branding and color schemes – Businesses could apply their brand identity effortlessly.
Dynamic pricing and station management – Enterprises could set their own pricing models, manage fleets, and monitor station activity from the CMS.
B2B dashboard customization – Designed a modular CMS that allowed companies to tailor the platform to their specific business needs.
By making Statiq’s platform highly adaptable, we expanded the business beyond individual EV users and created a scalable B2B solution that could grow with the market.

Optimizing UI/UX for Performance & Engagement
To ensure that the platform was both visually appealing and highly functional, I focused on typography, accessibility, and responsive design. The design process included:
Typography Selection – Chose Inter for its readability across both data-heavy dashboards and mobile screens. The font’s modern and legible structure improved user comprehension.
Visual Hierarchy & Layout – Used a grid-based layout to ensure clarity in data presentation, real-time updates, and interactive elements.
Color Contrast & Accessibility – Implemented high-contrast UI elements to improve visibility in outdoor environments, where users often accessed the app while on the go.
Micro-Interactions & Animations – Introduced subtle UI animations to provide feedback on user actions, making navigation feel more natural and responsive.

Through rigorous usability testing, I iterated on these elements to ensure an intuitive and frictionless experience across all touchpoints.
